Internal Affairs arrest Mijas Civil Guard in drugs investigation: "There were property searches in Málaga City where an ex member of the force was also arrested
A Civil Guard and a former officer with the force have been arrested in Málaga in an operation linked to drug trafficking which remains open and which saw at least two property searches taking place in Málaga City on Wednesday morning.
Diario Sur reports that the Civil Guard was arrested by Internal Affairs at the barracks in Mijas where he was based. The ex officer was taken into custody in the provincial capital.
The paper notes information from sources that there appears to be no connection with a similar case last month when 10 suspects were taken into custody on drugs charges. They included two Civil Guard based in Málaga and another based in Córdoba."
