Flamenco singer Isabel Pantoja in corruption scandal - Telegraph
Flamenco singer Isabel Pantoja in corruption scandal - Telegraph: "Isabel Pantoja won the hearts of Spanish fans with a career spanning almost four decades in which she has sold more than four million albums.
But her relationship with the former mayor of seaside resort Marbella, Julian Muñoz, has put her in the spotlight for other less respectable reasons.
anti-corruption prosecutor in Malaga has accused her of laundering at least 1.8m euros (£1.5m) for her disgraced former boyfriend who was jailed in July 2006 for his part in a corruption scam that brought down the entire town hall of Marbella on the Costa del Sol.
The flamboyant 54-year-old singer is accused of using embezzled funds to purchase a portfolio of properties along Spain's southern coast that include a cattle ranch, an apartment, a hotel and disco, and a mansion named 'Mi Gitana' – 'My Gypsy' where she currently resides."
