Director of Torremolinos animal refuge arrested: "director, Carmen Marín, and at least two workers of a Torremolinos animal protection organisation, ‘Parque Animal’ have been arrested by the Guardia Civil on charges of fraud and ill-treatment.
The Environment protection wing, SEPRONA, of the Civil Guard is investigating the methods used by Parque Animal in the sacrifice of animals, how remains are cremated and how they are disposed of. Some reports allege that cremation according to the law was offered, but not finally carried out. The Málaga Veterinary College has been collaborating in the investigation."
