MURDER SHOCKS PINAR DE CAMPOVERDE | Costa Blanca | Leader Newspaper - News, Sport, Advertising, Property, Classifieds - Costa Blanca, Costa del Sol, Costa Calida, Costa de Almeria, Spain: "61 year old German woman was found dead in the bar she runs in Pinar de Campoverde last Wednesday. She was discovered by the daily cleaning lady at 7am lying in a pool of blood in the kitchen of the establishment.
The body showed visible signs of violence, and it appears that she had been bashed on the head by a blunt object. The first conclusions were that the cause of the violence had been robbery, however nothing appeared to be missing from the bar, so this motive has now been put on hold.
The investigation is ongoing and the Guardia Civil are looking into whether domestic violence may be behind the matter. This also appears unlikely though, as the lady didn’t have a partner and hadn’t seen her ex for a considerable time."
