Woman found strangled in Málaga street was a prostitute: "31 year old Spaniard has been arrested in connection with the crime
More details have been released about the 31 year old Spaniard who has been arrested in connection with the death of a 20 year old Uruguayan woman, whose body was found in the La Luz district of Málaga city last Friday morning.
It seems the man, who works locally as a waiter, had called the woman in the early hours for sex. The victim had been working as a prostitute and a list of addresses she had visited was found on her body.
Police say the man ended up strangling the woman in his own home, and then simply threw out the body as if it was rubbish. The victim was found in the doorway of the suspect’s home, and becomes the second prostitute to be killed on the Costa del Sol in as many months.
The body of a 36 year old Ukrainian woman remains missing although police have found burnt remains of bones in Mijas, the DNA of which corresponds to being from one of the woman’s hands.
The motive for the latest crime remains unclear, with the main suspect arrested at his work on Friday afternoon and being held on remand since then."
